About

A focused progression tool for making music

Chord Progression Studio is built to get you from a musical direction to a usable MIDI progression quickly, without turning the browser into a full DAW.

What the studio does

Choose a style, scale and chord count—or use Quick mode when you only care about the style. The generator selects from a curated progression library, voices the chords, lets you audition the result in the browser and exports the exact result as MIDI.

Why it stays focused

The site is meant to support a producer's workflow, not replace it. Timing, voicing, playback and MIDI are useful enough to evaluate an idea, while arrangement, sound design, melody, bass and production still belong in your own DAW.

Browser-first by design

The public tool does not require an account or backend. Generation, preview state, recent progression history and MIDI creation are handled in the browser. Audio assets are loaded only when they are needed for playback.

Musical research and practical defaults

The progression corpus combines researched source material with clearly separated editorial treatment. Where electronic styles need a practical timing default, the site uses producer-friendly phrase lengths without pretending those defaults came from a specific source.
